Development History

2007 Another American Venture capitalist, SIG (Susquehanna International Group) invested in Ocean Butterflies. In the same year, Ocean Butterflies Pictures, Ocean Butterflies Communications, Ocean Butterflies Technology & Ocean Butterflies Resources were set up.
2006 IDG-ACCEL fund invested in Ocean Butterflies– the first music company in Asia to be invested by American Venture capitalists.
2003 Ocean Butterflies Music Beijing was set up. In the same year, Ocean Butterflies Music launched a young composer-singer, JJ Lin. His debut album was so well-received across the pan-Chinese regions that led JJ to win for the Best New-comer in 15th Taiwan's Gold Melody Awards, an equivalent of Asian Grammy Awards.
2002 Ocean Butterflies Music launched a record-breaking album by successfully crafting a 'construction worker-turned-superstar' legend, A-Do . His debut album, Getting Dark, sold for more than 2 millions copies within six months across Asia. Billboard magazine covered the story of A-Do in Feb 8th 2003's issue.
2000 Ocean Butterflies Music Taiwan was set up. In year 2002, A-Do's first album "Tian Hei" was being launched, whipping up an "A-Do Craze" in the Chinese music scenes!
1997 Ocean Butterflies Music set up Halo Music Production in Malaysia to develop the music resources. At the same time, Halo Café, a music theme restaurant franchise was established across the peninsula.
1994 Ocean Butterflies Music launched its singer, Kit Chan in Taiwan with debut album, "Heartache". This marked the first successful Singapore artiste to break into Asia Chinese-Pop market – bringing Ocean Butterflies to a new level.
1990 Ocean Butterflies Music further refined music production and explored various business opportunities in advertising jingles and record production for overseas singers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
1989 Touch Music Publishing was setup in Singapore.
1986 Ocean Butterflies Music was founded in Singapore by Billy Koh, Colin Goh, Sunkist Ng, Koh Nam Seng and Teo Kay Kiong.
